Abuse of the return policy
So I finally got fed up with the fridge like temaptures at work and went to the local Target to buy a mini heater to put under my desk for my frostbitten toes (exaggeration intentded). When I finally located the heaters I was delighted to find that they were on sale. So I rushed over and started checking out what they had instock. They really were cheap! I couldn’t understand why Target was having a sale on heaters when it’s still cold outside.
And that was when I noticed that pretty much every box on the shelf had been opened before or re-taped shut. No wonder. So apparently a good number of cheap ghetto people bought and used a heater for probably one or two days that it was really cold and then returned it saying it was ‘broken’ or whatever other bs they can think of (not that Target really asks fora reason unless you happen to run into a manager). As a consmuer, I feel lucky to live in a country that allows returns with out a single hesitation. But really now… haven’t we gone a bit overboard?
I had friends back in highschool that would buy $200 sneakers for a month and then return them to get new ones. And so in reality they’re never really spending more money… if anything it was like depositing $200 in a bank while they got free new shoes everymonth. It really sickens me as to how spoiled americans have become. What’s next? Do waitresses have to manually feed you now? Buy some tampons, use them, and then put them back in the box to return saying they were defective?
You might as well steal and keep the damned things.
Give me a break.
